So you’re interested in learning more about Bridge Retail LTD and the people behind it?
Hi, I’m Carly, Liam’s wife. If you know Liam, you’ll know I have the patience of a saint. Liam has always been hard-working and puts in the hours, no matter what. He’s the early starter and late finisher.
It’s always been his dream to work for himself, and I’ve always encouraged him to pursue it.

It’s true that I’ve always worked hard for others. Building other people’s businesses was something I loved, but it always seemed silly when I could be building my own.
Bridge Retail LTD came about after a trip to Edinburgh with Carly. We were talking about how 2025 had been a record-breaking bad year for our family and how we could turn things around for 2026.
My experience has always been in building relationships. From the age of 16, this has always been something I’ve done and enjoyed. Meeting new people is a true passion of mine, and the business side always followed on afterwards.
Working with retailers is where I feel the most comfortable. Growing up, I often spent time in my parents’ carpet and furniture shop. As soon as I was old enough, I joined the team selling what I could. Sadly, this was never enough for me, as I had a need to be busy all the time. It’s just how my brain gets bored if I’m not. This is when I moved to bedroom furniture as a rep, covering the North East and Midlands. Meeting lots of retailers, I was able to grow a customer base throughout my area. Sadly, things took a turn in 2020 when COVID hit after the January Furniture Show, and retailers all across the country began to close.

This is when I found my second passion, retail fixtures and displays. This suited me perfectly, as I was able to combine my knowledge of retail with my people skills to develop strong relationships with bigger brands. Furniture Village was one of the first accounts I took on, and it was great to meet the whole team there. Over the last six years, I’ve been able to assist in opening many stores and developing over 50 different fixtures and displays that are still used in all their stores today.
Along with Furniture Village, there are also brands like Denby Pottery, Housing Units, and The Fragrance Shop who have all benefited from my assistance with their stores over the years.
Working in the permanent and temporary fixtures sector means no two projects are ever the same. This variety has developed a true love for me. Each project brings its own challenges, and I find myself thinking deeply about ensuring not only a safe environment but one that promotes both business and products.

Bridge Retail LTD is exactly what its name suggests – a combination of retail fixtures and assistance to manufacturers in getting their products onto shop floors. We bridge the gap between consumers and products. Whether it’s introducing the brand and managing accounts directly with me or assisting with the entire design and manufacturing process of in-store fixtures and displays, I’m involved in every aspect.
